Story of Courage
Back in March, we were learning about the virtue of courage in FamJamz and Highway 252. A dad wrote in to share with us a fantastic story about his kids. Check it out!
Dad tells us that his son and daughter sat down to do some drawing. The boy suggested to this sister that they draw something about courage. They seemed to be fired up after a FamJamz production where dad played the role of Goliath. So they decided to draw the same thing, and on their own chose to depict Christ’s courage on the cross. Dad says that they had a great time talking about it while they were busy creating. And there they were, sitting quietly at the kitchen table, ministering to each other and to Dad as they discussed how much Christ must love us to have the courage to face his accusers and suffer for us, so that we could live.
Dad goes on to say that red and yellow do make orange. Like everything in life, we all need to be reminded more than we need to be instructed. The takeaway for Dad was to keep “mixing.” Keep mixing red and yellow, and be reminded of the timeless truths that are forever present in the message of Christ.
Thank you so much for that story! Here are at FamJamz, we love hearing stories like this. Moms, Dads, Abuelas, Abuelos… send your stories in. Brag about your kids! Tell us how they’re living out these virtues. Email us at famjamz@ubcmiami.org
‘Til next time!
