Hey FamJamz friends,

We recently received a story of courage from one of our very own families and wanted to share it with you!

A mom wrote in to tell us that her seven-year-old daughter was convinced that she has no friends and no one likes her. Mom paid attention to the situation and sought help. (Go Mom!)

After church a few Sundays ago, her daughter walked into Mom’s room and they started talking. The subject came up and Mom tried to tell her daughter that it is good to try and meet new people. “Sometimes you will make friends and sometimes you won’t, but you won’t know if you don’t try,” Mom said. It was then when her daughter looked up and it was like a lightbulb had gone on, and she said, “Mom, I need courage!” Then she repeated from memory the virtue definition we’ve been learning all month long in FamJamz.

“It was really a breakthrough for us!” Mom says. Later that day, Mom was signing her daughter up for classes she really wanted to take!

We LOVE hearing from our families how kids (and Parents) demonstrate the virtues at home, at work, at school… anywhere! Thank you for sharing it with us. Mom also went on to thank all who make FamJamz happen. She says, “it’s more than fun, it really has an impact.” Thank You, God, for how You work in the lives of our families.

This Sunday is the start of spirit month in FamJamz.

If your parents say it’s ok, wear your pajamas to church this weekend!

Hwy 252 is going Bowling!

All kids K-5th grade are invited to join us April 2nd, 2011 from 9am-12pm for a fun morning of Bowling at Bird Bowl. Cost is $15/kid. We will meet in UBC starting at 8:45am and depart towards Bird Bowl no later than 9:30am.  Light breakfast will be served.  We will return to UBC by 12:00pm for parent pick up.  Registration is required so register today!

Registration will close on Wednesday at 2pm!
