Hwy 252 Christmas Party!

Cost is $5/child or $10/family (two or more elementary-age kids), collected at the door. There will be lots of fun activities and yummy food. Prizes will be awarded to kids who bring visitors. Parents, register your child today and enjoy some “big kid time” on your own, while your kids have a blast with us!

We have already picked up 2,500 Feed Miami bags to distribute to our family, friends, schools, dance studios, girl scout troops, etc… What an awesome thing to see UBC and the community coming together to meet the need.  Remember Chick-fil-a night is Friday night, print this flyer and present it when you are paying. 15% of the money will benefit Feed Miami. Since last Sunday, we’ve sorted through all the bags and have distributed already to Agape Family Ministries, Food for the Poor, and the Miami Rescue Mission. We will have another major collection day this Sunday, November 21st during any of the services. Can’t wait to see how you and your family are serving our community and helping to Feed Miami!  Check out these pictures:

Volunteers did a great job sorting the food

Hey, FamJamz Families! Have we got a fun activity for YOU! Each year, UBC hosts a breakfast on Thanksgiving morning (Deacon’s Thanksgiving Breakfast) and then we serve food to people in need at the Miami Rescue Mission. Below is an email I received from one of our non-staff leaders at UBC, and I am so honored and excited that they thought of the FamJamz kids for their project! Read the email, take a look at some of the pictures from when we did this before, then download the “Craft Ideas for Thanksgiving” PDF for instructions, if you need them. You can use some of the decoration ideas from there, or you can be creative in making your very own! All incredible creations need to be received by Wednesday, November 24, but you can turn them in anytime beforehand when you come to FamJamz this month. We are looking for a BUNCH of these decorations, so please email addis.torres@ubcmiami.org with the number of items you can provide. What a great opportunity to demonstrate the virtue we are studying this month: SERVICE - lending a hand to someone else!

Hi Angie,
I’m one of the Deacons that is serving at the Thanksgiving breakfast. We would like to know if the kids could make decorations for the tables?
About two years ago the decorations served two purposes one for the Deacon breakfast and then at the Miami Rescue Mission Great Thanksgiving Banquet. Please see the pictures of some of the decorations attached. Let me know if you could help us out with this, I know this is short notice.
