FamJamz starts September 5!

Hey, Families!

We’re looking forward to another GREAT year of FamJamz, starting Sunday, September 5! Join us for the kick-off at either 10:15 or 11:45a, immediately following HWY 252 and weekend worship. We’re talking about the virtue of RESPECT, so Parents, get your kids there! And Kids, get your parents there! Respectfully, of course…

There are still opportunities to connect at FamJamz this year, both on and off the stage, especially at the 11:45 production. Click here to let us know you can help! If you need a little inspiration, check out the story below from Ali, a high-schooler who serves in FamJamz:

“I started serving in FJ and Hwy because in 6th grade I realized that I had some gifts that I needed to be using for God. Then when I heard about FamJamz, I knew God wanted me there. For a while I was content just serving a couple of times a month but after seeing what a heart the kids had for Jesus, I was hungry for more. Pretty soon I was invited to serve in Highway 252, and I knew once again that this was for me. Ever since I’ve been serving just about every week.

From volunteering these past few years, I’ve learned a lot about God, myself, and of course the wonderful people around me. When I started working with Highway 252, I wasn’t nearly as close to God as I am now. Even though the virtues and lessons are geared towards elementary kids, I’ve learned so much more than just scripts. I’ve discovered that we have some awesome kids doing great things at our church, that God has blessed me with role models, and that God has given me this wonderful opportunity to share his message with some pretty neat kids.

I’ve experienced this feeling I can’t explain as anything other than joy. I’ve gotten way more out of serving than I’ve given. I’ve seen the look in kids’ eyes when they understand something. I’ve seen the love kids have for their small group leaders who come week after week. It’s a joy that you can’t understand unless you’ve experienced it!”

Thanks for sharing, Ali!
